“Great place, always a nice time and a good laugh. Two snooker tables, massive TV, good beer and happy nice staff.”

Introduction
The Touching Cloth Snooker Lounge is tucked away in a residential area of Torrevieja, Spain. A stone’s throw away from where Willie Thorne used to rent a home. I know from WT that this was a special place for him. He practised here and even stored his beloved cue in the club. With a mix of ex-pats and many other European players, this club is where you can come in casual wear to play snooker and relax with an ice-cold pint of Spanish lager. Willie has always spoken fondly of this club, and it is easy to see why. Who could refuse a chance to win the Touching Cloth Handicap Knockout Tournament? It’s a club with so many positive reviews. People say it has a friendly owner, reasonable prices, and two snooker tables, so a queue must wait for a game—a club run by Lee, Willie’s former practice partner.
A Spanish Gem
With a relaxed atmosphere and a cool place to escape the searing heat of the Spanish sun, this snooker club is the only one in the area. Although snooker is not highly popular amongst the Spanish nation, there is plenty of interest from so many snooker lovers from far and wide. This is a small but happy club, and I know that Lee takes pride in it, frequently recovering the tables. Lee is often praised for being a gentleman and goes out of his way to teach people how to play and explain the rules. You can even play American Pool here with good music and great beer. It’s a cosy place that often gets a five-star review.
