Introduction
Situated in the vibrant town centre of Hatfield, Hertfordshire, lies Frank’s Snooker and Pool Club. A club that has a powerful motto “Where good times and great games meet”. Enter via a security door and up a flight of stairs, visitors are greeted by a friendly team of staff and a spacious club that contains a treasure trove of sports to while away your leisure time. Brightly lit and welcoming, Frank’s is an ideal place to relax after a hard day’s work with a well-stocked bar that has a wide range of beers and lagers on draught including Guinness and Heineken’s famous super chilled lager. It also has one of the largest selection of specialist gins in Hertfordshire.
On the Ball
Frank’s Snooker and Pool Club prides itself on having 18 competition standard Supreme Winner and Blackball pool tables and 4 snooker tables. A makeup of 11 Supreme pool tables, 7 black ball tables and 4 snooker tables. It also has 3 dart boards where approximately 598 games are played each week. Games that can be accompanied by an alcoholic or soft beverage or tea or coffee if preferred. You can also order from the food menu which has a wide selection of meals and snacks. This a place where the click of snooker and pool balls fill the air with a wide range of sports to watch on the television screen in the background.
Team Spirit
This is a club which welcomes and nurtures new and young talent. Under the expert eye of World Snooker coach, Andrew Barrett and former professional snooker player, Don Watson, many snooker players of the future flock through these doors to fine-tune their game in snooker. Using drill practice and flowing practice play, what these men don’t know about snooker is not worth knowing. It is always a pleasure to come here and see how far these boys and girls have progressed with many going on to compete in amateur competitions across the country including the well-known CueStars events at Frames Sports Bar in Coulsdon and Woking Snooker Centre. This is one of the many strings to Frank’s bow. A club that has 20 pool and snooker teams including the female Franks’ Queens’ pool team regularly competes. Tournaments such as the Hertfordshire County Trials and the Hertfordshire County Blackball Pool Trials. A snooker and pool club in the heart of Hertfordshire that I strongly recommend a visit to.
